A debt of gratitude is owed to churches for including learners in their prayers during the National Day of Prayer
Education activist Hendrick Makaneta has sent a word of gratitude to church leaders from various denominations for praing for learners during the difficult time of foodborne illnesses.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to the churches that participated in the National Day of Prayer at FNB Stadium, Nasrec, for placing the needs of learners at the centre of their prayers. Their commitment to interceding for the well-being of our children is a powerful demonstration of their care for the future of our nation.
In light of the many challenges faced by learners, including foodborne illnesses, poverty, and barriers to quality education, the prayers from churches in South Africa provide the much-needed hope and encouragement. Education remains one of the most critical tools for building a brighter future, and the spiritual support helps strengthen the resolve of those who work tirelessly to overcome these obstacles.
We must continue to work hand in hand with the church, spiritually, socially, and practically to ensure that every child in South Africa has access to safe, healthy, and empowering learning environments.
